The firm's presence in these networks has two purposes:

Inter-Pacific Bar Association - IPBA

The IPBA is an international association of business lawyers who live in and/or have a connection with the Asia-Pacific region, founded in 1991 at an inaugural conference in Tokyo.

Since then, IPBA has grown to become the leading legal association in the Asia-Pacific region and has currently over 1,500 members from more than 65 jurisdictions worldwide.

Since 2018, the partners at Komon Avocats have been active members of the IBPA for the French jurisdiction, Europe's main jurisdiction alongside the UK.

International Bar Association - IBA

The IBA is the world's largest association of international law practitioners.

Founded in 1947, following the creation of the United Nations, with the aim of protecting and improving the rule of law worldwide, the IBA has grown from an association composed exclusively of bar associations to one including international law firms as well as sole practitioners.

Today, the organization has over 80,000 members from most of the world's leading law firms in more than 170 countries.

Komon Avocats was one of the key players at the IBA's annual conference in Paris in 2023, co-organizing particularly the highly successful “IBA France-Japan Reception Cocktail” alongside the Association des Avocats Japonophiles and the Japanese law firm Kitahama Partners.

IR Global

IR Global is the world's leading network of mid-sized international legal, accounting and financial services firms.

Created in 2010, the IR Global network now has over 1,450 members in more than a hundred different jurisdictions.

Wissam Mghazli, Managing Partner of Komon Avocats, has been chosen since the end of 2023 as the only representative for International Arbitration in France.

He also played an active part in the success of the annual conference in Paris in September 2024, with a remarkable visit to the international chambers of the Paris Commercial Court and Court of Appeal.

Wissam was also a member of the organizing committee for the MENA group conference in Casablanca and Marrakech in October and November 2024.

L’Association des Avocats Japonophiles - AAJ

AAJ is resolutely focused on the Japanese community and, more generally, on anyone with strong ties to Japan, whether in France or abroad.

AAJ's aim is to offer its members and partners a framework for quality exchanges, while expanding its network.

Olivier Fachin and Wissam Mghazli, correspondingly President and Treasurer, are also two of the four founding members of this association created in 2020.

Since then, the association has shown unmatched dynamism, organizing monthly events for its members, joining forces with other professional business networks through receptions bringing together French and Japanese lawyers, and even organizing a Legal Summit in Japan coupled with a multi-day business trip to Tokyo and Osaka in November 2023.

Commission Japon de l’Ordre

The activities of the Japan Commission of the Paris Bar Association are aimed at lawyers with an interest in and/or working between France and Japan.

The Commission's missions include training for lawyers, coordinating efforts with members of civil society and associations with similar goals, as well as monitoring legal and professional latest news and information.

Olivier Fachin, founding partner of Komon Avocats, has joined the Japan Commission as co-chair from January 2024.

Association Franco-Marocaine des Avocats d'Affaires - AFMAA

Founded in 2023, the Franco-Moroccan Business Lawyers Association aims to promote and develop a professional network between business lawyers interested in the links between France and Morocco, as well as to offer a framework for exchanges and legal information to its members and extend their networks.

AFMAA organizes periodic events in France and Morocco such as afterworks, conferences and cultural outings, gathers recommendations received between members and puts member law firms in touch with trainees and associates for internship and professional opportunities.

Wissam Mghazli, Managing Partner of Komon Avocats, has been co-founder and Chairman of AFMAA since its creation.

The idea of founding AFMAA was an obvious one for him as he has always been dipped in the dual Franco-Moroccan culture with the aim of bringing his two countries closer together under the aegis of an association.

Union Internationale des Avocats - UIA

Founded in 1927, the International Association of Lawyers is a global and multicultural organization gathering lawyers from 110 countries.

It promotes the rule of law and provides its members with a network for professional development, training and networking.

Today, it brings together more than two million lawyers and legal professionals, who are members individually or collectively (bars, federations, associations) in 110 countries.

Olivier Fachin, Managing Partner of Komon Avocats, has been a member of the UIA since 2023, and actively participates in its events, annual congresses and legal publications.

Association Franco-Cambodgienne des Avocats et Juristes - AFCAJ

The French-Cambodian Lawyers Association, founded in 2020, is dedicated to promoting and developing a professional network of lawyers with a particular interest in relations between France and Cambodia.

AFCAJ thus provides its members with a framework encouraging exchanges and the acquisition of relevant information for those wishing to contribute to getting both countries closer, while fostering the development of their professional networks through interactions with colleagues and main players in both countries.

Wissam Mghazli has been a member of AFCAJ since 2022 and its President since 2024 so that he has been involved with the organization through his love of Cambodia and Khmer culture, as well as through his academic and professional commitments in Phnom Penh.

Paris Place de Droit

Paris City of Law was founded in 2015 with the aim of promoting Paris as an international legal capital by federating the wider business community.

Legal practitioners, intellectuals and judges make up this association and meet to reflect together on current legal challenges and make Paris shine by promoting its attractiveness.

Wissam Mghazli has been a member of the Paris Place de Droit association since 2024, and in September of the same year organized a conference-visit for fifty lawyers specializing in business litigation from over twenty different jurisdictions within the walls of the Paris Commercial Court, and particularly its international chamber.

Comité d’Échanges Franco-Japonais - CEFJ

Since its creation by the CCI Paris Île-de-France in 1997, the Franco-Japanese Exchange Committee has become one of the world's leading bicultural business networks.

Its strengths lie mainly in the dynamism of its members, more than 160 companies operating in France and Japan in all sectors.

The CEFJ can count on an important network of companies of all sizes, economic sectors and institutional organizations, which are at the heart of the Franco-Japanese business community.

Komon Avocats has been a member of the CEFJ since 2022, through its founding partner Olivier Fachin, who is keen to play an active role in the community by his growing presence at events.

ClubRezo

ClubRezo is trustful space for networking and business recommendations between lawyers.

Each month, a diner event is organized for members and guests in a convivial setting to encourage exchanges and feedback.

The network is made up of some sixty lawyers based in and around Paris, specializing in areas ranging from tax law to family law, employment law and international business law.

Wissam Mghazli, managing partner of Komon Avocats, has been a member of ClubRezo Avocats since 2021, and organized in January 2025 a Moroccan dinner in partnership with the Franco-Moroccan Business Lawyers Association which he chairs.

Chambre de Commerce et d’Industrie Japonaise en France - CCIJF

The Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry in France has the following missions:

consulting, negotiations and exchanges with public bodies or several semi-public associations, the collection of information and documents dealing with the economy and trade, the organization of conferences and seminars concerning economic, commercial or cultural themes, cooperation and support for economic and commercial events run by public bodies or several semi-public associations, and the strengthening of friendly and cultural ties between its members through the organization of activities and events.

Komon Avocats became a member of the Chamber in 2023 in order to be as close as possible to the economic players in both countries.

Founding partner Olivier Fachin represents the firm at events organized by the CCIJF.
