Komon Avocats advises, assists, represents and defends the interests of Moroccan companies and entrepreneurs, and generally from the MENA region and/or looking to invest in that geographical area and notably in Morocco.
Morocco / MENA Desk (Middle East and North Africa)
At Komon Avocats, we act on behalf of clients already present or aiming at being present in Morocco and in the MENA region and provide them with our legal expertise.
Our firm's close ties to these two regions of the world, and in particular with Morocco, make us familiar with the business manners specific to this area and keep us closely connected to our clients. Hence, this enables us to deliver high-quality legal services precisely tailored to our clients expectations.
Komon Avocats advises clients throughout the life of their businesses, from the strategic considerations involved in its establishment to defending its interests in complex international litigation and arbitration proceedings.
Specifically, our services range the creation and development of French companies in these regions - and vice versa - including any related legal operations that may be required (mergers and acquisitions, investment projects, contracts drafting, legal secretarial services, compliance, personal data protection, etc.).
In addition, our firm defends the interests of foreign companies before the French courts, in complex international litigation and arbitration proceedings, and also handles the enforcement of decisions rendered in the Middle East, North Africa and/or France.
When it comes to international litigation and arbitration, a dedicated and specialised team represents the interests of the firm's clients, whether they are French companies up against companies from the MENA region or vice versa, particularly in the context of settlements negotiations, post-merger and acquisition disputes, commercial litigation or shareholder disputes.
For example, Komon Avocats successfully represented the interests of an African central bank in an arbitration involving more than €200 million in a dispute related to the mining sector.
The litigation and arbitration team also defended the interests of a Moroccan company in enforcing an international arbitration award in Dubai, while the corporate team has already assisted several foreign companies (notably European and Asian, substantially Japanese) in their expansion in Morocco or also in connection with insolvency proceedings in this country.
Members of the MENA Desk regularly travel to these regions to maintain and develop established relationships, which allows the firm to continually enhance its local expertise.
Komon Avocats is definitely present and active in the MENA region and particularly in Morocco.
